Consists of:

·         The Juniors: aged between 7 and 15 years old. The members are trained on popular dance moves and songs whether for children or for different Al Hannouneh programmes, in order to prepare them to join the Essential troupe at a later stage.

·         The Essential troupe: the core pillar of our artistic troupe collects volunteers who believe in Al Hannouneh’s mission to guard and protect the memory.

·         Music and Song team: focuses on producing popular tunes that suit the modern-day while maintaining its popular originality. They also perform songs and play music during the events.

·         Programme development team: leads the creation and directing of several new performances and selection of music while building modern dances that stem from popular ones. This team’s presence does not obstruct the possibility of cooperating with fashion designers, directors and choreographers from outside of Al Hannouneh to assist in the production of new shows and performances.

The Troupe’s Artistic Performances:

Includes all aspects of the popular heritage such as music, dance, popular attires and clothes, historical events, religions, old beliefs and legends, traditions, seasons, popular/traditional proverbs, myths, social occasions and everything else that was passed on from one generation to the other and specifically those occasions and events that stood up against time like marriage, celebration of birth, circumcision, Hajj and death. In addition to the traditions of agricultural seasons such as olive harvest seasons, and a presentation to some professions and traditions related to fishing and knitting and others.

AlHannouneh was able to create several artistic programs that manifested the relation between the human and his land and the connection between them through showcasing parts of our authentic and rich popular heritage, some of which were:

A Biography of Life, Ramadan Season, the Biography of Salem, The Time of the Nu’aman, The Gazelle of the Meadow, AlShamaliya (The Northern), AlAwdah (The Return), AdDar (The Home), The Dream, The Spring, The Eid of Tales, The Stallion, The Eye, AlSamer, Ashwaq (Yearnings), The Popular/Traditional Wedding, “Hoti Ala AlNar Ya Jidda, A’adad Ala AlKhayl, and many other artistic pieces and performances.

Artistic Troupe Participation:

Al Hannouneh ensures to be present at local, national and general festivals as well as hosting events on national occasions such as Land Day, Balfour Promise Day, and Partition of Palestine day so as to maintain the presence of such events among us and within the memory of the rising generations. Moreover, Al Hannouneh participates in Arab and International events held in Palestine, Tunisia, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Italy, France and the United States of America.
